CUSTOMIZED SOLUTION FOR MOLSLINJEN
For Molslinjen’s two new battery ferries – newbuilding 1098 + 1099 to be built at Cemre Marin Endüstri in Turkey – we have been chosen as supplier of a customized solution, more exact a backup function for the ferry batteries.
The customized solution that Nordhavn Power Solutions shall deliver to the two newbuilding’s, consists of 2 x 4 units SGASI 16-07S, IMO Tier III gensets in soundproof enclosure, with option to operate on 100% HVO diesel.
In case of the ferry batteries (against expectation) is out of function, the gensets are to take over and ensure that the ferries can continue operation.
The newbuilding’s are designed by Danish OSK-ShipTech.
Each ferry has a total length of 116,8 meters, a capacity of 600 passengers, and 188 cars.
