A GLIMPSE BACK IN TIME
The last time our service technician René Falk visited Greenland, old pictures appeared from Nordhavn Power Solutions’ delivery to Hotel Qoorqut in Godthåbs Fjord.
The pictures tell the long story between Nordhavn Power Solutions and Greenland.
Th former salesman at Nordhavn Power Solutions, J. O. Jensen sold the unit back in 1981, which was to be used as power supply to the hotel.
Grønlands Skibs- & Entreprenørværksted ApS handled the purchase, delivery, and installation of the genset GAS 11-01, 94 kW for the hotel.
After the plant arrived in Greenland, it was transported by helicopter, as neither road nor water transport was suitable for transporting the unit to the hotel in Godthåbs Fjorden.
At the hotel, Leif Jensen, and Peder Bentsen from Grønlands Skibs- & Entreprenørværksted ApS performed installation and commissioning.
