Scania was founded in 1900 in Malmø, Sweden under the name Maskinfabriksaktiebolaget Scania.
Many also know the company as SCANIA-VABIS, which was the result of a merger between 2 companies – Vagn Aktie Bolaget and Maskinfabriksaktiebolaget Scania in 1911.

The engines comply with all existing emission rules worldwide and can therefore also be supplied with either IMO TIER II or IMO TIER III.
